Leading the Way with Experience and Compassion

Blue Parasol’s leadership team is comprised of some of the leading names in home care as well as highly active members of the New York City community.

Chris Olechowski, President/CEO

Chris has been heavily involved in the Brooklyn community for over 25 years. Before beginning his work in healthcare, Chris was an executive director of a non-profit, developing programs and helping an agency maintain a strong foundation. In 1993, he joined the board of PSC, learning closely from all other members of the board and developing a deep understanding of home care and its necessity in the community. Chris served twice as the president of the Home Care Council of NY (2002 – 2004) and received a leadership award in 2010 for his role as president of the Home Care Council from 2008 – 2010.

Chris holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Columbia University, and has been closely involved with numerous healthcare conferences and expert workshops. He received a graduate degree in public administration at New York University and earned a certificate for non-profit management. He also has a separate Master’s degree in Comparative literature from New York University.

Chris proudly accepted an award in 2005 bestowed by his staff for his dedication and vision for the agency. He cherishes his team of caregivers, agency and support staff.

Monica Arjune, Director of Patient Services

Monica Arjune graduated cum laude from the New York Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She started her nursing as a volunteer at Mary Immaculate Pediatric Unit. Later, she worked at Saint Vincent Medical Center from 2004 to 2006 in the Cystic Fibrosis Clinic. From 2007 to 2010 she worked at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center at Rockvillle, Long Island.

Since 2011, Monica has been a Director of Patient Services at Blue Parasol’s affiliate agency, PSC Community Services. Responsibilities include providing for quality home care for close to 1,000 client patients. She oversees timely nursing visits conducted on a regular basis as per NY State Dept. of Health regulations, educational training for personal care workers and home health aides, implementing and updating agency emergency preparedness policies, along with developing a “teamwork” approach.

Renata Warchol, COO/Board Member

Renata is a prime example of a hardworking professional who advanced her standing over her many years of experience in the home health care field. She received her Associate degree as a Medical Assistant through ASA Institute College of Advanced Technology. She went on to pursue her Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health and Human Services from St. Joseph’s College. As part of her internship, she specialized in Allergy and Asthma Care.

Renata has also volunteered as an assistant at an elementary school, providing tutoring and translation to immigrant children.

What is especially outstanding about Renata is her desire to help others as she did back in 2005 when 16 families, including her own, had to evacuate their building due to a fire. She took it upon herself to aid many of these displaced families by assisting with shelter and other services such as translations, finding documentation, and helping families to obtain meals at local community centers.

After serving as the Assistant Director of Field Operations at PSC Community Services Home Health Care, where she had responsibility for well over 900 personal care workers, she has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer at Blue Parasol. Despite all her obligations and responsibilities, Renata still found time to complete her Master of Science Degree in Human Services. Recently, Renata has been elected a member to the Board of Directors.
